The IA Service Manager will be responsible for maintaining the IA practises within the business. This role is perfect if you are starting out in your IA career and are looking to work for a large, exciting organisation. DV Clearance is required for this role.

Please see some example responsibilities below:

Accreditation:

  • Responsible for ensuring that the system is managed in accordance with its requirements and those of the customer's IT Security Policy;
  • Provide documentary updates following changes endorsed by the CAB;
  • Responsible for auditing compliance with the ADS as arranged with the SWG;
  • The ADS shall be reviewed every 12 months, or when deemed necessary and the IASM shall ensure that all the staff working with the system comply with it;

Configuration/Change Management:

  • Ensure that each IT System configuration is maintained in a secure condition conforming to the requirements stated in the relevant policy and Security documentation;
  • Ensure that all changes affecting the system security go through an approval process and engage with the Accreditor for endorsement
  • Ensure that security features are properly configured following system rebuilds or restores

Assess/Accounts Management:

  • Ensure that staff access rights to the system are regularly reviewed;

Audit:

  • Be responsible for conducting periodic reviews and audits
  • Retain a record of all spot checks that are carried out for a period of two years from the date of that check

Incident Management:

  • Ensure that any malicious code is isolated and rendered inactive prior to viewing or onwards transmission to other systems. The incident must be investigated according to Virus Incident Procedures.

Escalations:

  • Consult the Accreditor regarding any changes that may affect the security of the system.

To include but not be limited to:

  • Proposed changes to the security relevant software and hardware.
  • Major changes to the design of the system (including major updates and new versions).
  • Informed of all security-related incidents.
  • Formally notified of all changes that occur that might affect the Accreditation.
  • CISSP Qualified
