Reference: 16085 Start Date: Immediate Description: Main function of job : The purpose of the position is to improve extrusion processes within the factory to satisfy the requirements of clients and engineering specifications. In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required Main duties (in order of priority)
- Generating manufacturing specifications and instructions
- Anticipating need for tooling & Equipment
- Analysing non-conformances, proposing solutions and implementing corrective actions.
- To trouble shoot daily production problems.
- To investigate non-conformances, propose and implement solutions.
- To give production all the necessary information for carrying out manufacturing operations.
- Establishing process design rules and laws, to ensure standardisation of work practices within the Methods department.
- Automation of Methods department operation by creating programs, spreadsheets and databases.
- Identifying and introducing of improvements in the manufacturing processes, equipment and working practices
- Identifying and defining of in house manufacturing trials
- The management of investment projects
- Generating reports, analyses, specifications, calculations, etc as required.
- Occasional assistance with technology support, equipment advice, liaison with both internal and external organisations with respect to computer software, hardware, repair requirements and systems for the Technical/Engineering Department as directed by the Process Engineering Manager.
- Following, developing and implementing Quality Health and Safety management procedures.
- Generation and maintenance of company Standing Instructions
