Person Specification
This role requires a purposeful Maths Teacher who has a history of 'Good' or better teaching and knowledge and experience of working with EAL pupils. This role has been designed with a senior Maths Teacher in mind; someone who can take charge of a class with ease and can also organise the department. You must have the flexibility to work well in a team or by yourself and brilliant communication skills. We want to meet teachers who can teach with gusto and deliver lessons that will focus the attention of their students on the task at hand.

This Maths Teacher role involves you joining a well-stocked Maths Department that has a good organisation and a competent Head of Maths but is missing natural leaders amongst the class teachers. The Headteacher and the SLT have committed to a long-term vision for the future of the school that will incorporate a generous allowance of CPD and training time. With a mentor on offer in the form of a Headteacher you will be given all the support and guidance you could ask for. In this post you will be displaying your leadership potential as you are given the extra responsibility of Lead Teacher of Maths, a position that is accompanied by TLR. As a Maths Teacher you will be reporting to the amicable Head of Maths who runs the department effectively and efficiently, making the Maths Department one of the more successful at the school.
