Market Manager, UK & Ireland

Job Description:

Hotel Tonight UK Limited wishes to hire a Market Manager for the UK & Ireland to be responsible for the supply side for several UK and/or IE cities on the app which will include: running its daily operations involving hotel partners, creating high quality long-term hotel relationships, and ensuring Hotel Tonight always has the best inventory. The postholder will be responsible for identifying creative approaches to engaging hotel partners and acquiring inventory that differentiates Hotel Tonight from other travel companies. S/he will also develop new hotel business opportunities related to her/his assigned markets, for signing up the best hotels to present to the company’s user. The postholder may also be required to occasionally visit the markets which they manage as part of the responsibility of the role.

The Market Manager for the UK & Ireland shall be expected to develop an intimate knowledge of each of their assigned markets with the goal of becoming the go-to source for all information relating to local trends and market dynamics (e.g. pricing, demand seasonality, compression patterns, etc). In addition, s/he will work with the Country Manager to execute strategies aimed at raising awareness and growing demand in your markets.

Skills and experience:

The Candidate must:

• be educated at degree level, with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business and/or and management preferred;
• have one to three years of related professional work experience;
• be fluent and have excellent written and verbal skills in English;
• demonstrate exceptional charisma and sales skills with the ability to manage a high number of prospective clients and the ability to successfully close a deal;
• have a solid knowledge of UK/Ireland markets - travel experience would also be a plus;
• demonstrate a passion and enthusiasm for the role of Market Manager, UK & Ireland and the business goals of HotelTonight UK Limited;
• demonstrate an ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and an ability to prioritise and manage work with minimal oversight; and
• be fast learner and demonstrate a willingness to take risks in order to achieve desired outcomes.
