Group Financial Accountant
Adlington, Lancashire

Salary up to £40,000 p.a.
12 month fixed term contract

The role
As a Group Financial Accountant you will take responsibility for all corporate financial reporting including: statutory financial statements, technical accounting papers, taxation returns, balance sheet control and investor presentation packs.

Your other responsibilities will include:
• Preparing Group Annual Report under IFRS.
• Preparing Group quarterly VAT returns.
• Managing the transactional finance team (both qualified and part-qualified accountants).
• Preparing and organising AGM.
• Reviewing of monthly management accounts and sign-off of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preparing subsidiary financial statements under UK GAAP.
• Preparing corporation tax computations for all Group companies.
• Managing close relationships with external partners, including auditors, tax advisors, solicitors, HMRC and bankers.
• Preparing technical papers to deal with new and newly relevant accounting standards.
• Managing Company Secretarial requirements, such as Annual Returns for all Group companies.

Requirements
• Qualified Chartered Accountant – CIMA or ACA.
• Ability to develop strong business relationships with senior members of the management team.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• High attention to detail, coupled with the ability to see the bigger picture.
• Experience in the analysis and presentation of financial information (both written and verbal).
• Strong accounting skills that cover profit and loss, balance sheet, cash and journal entries.
• Strong technical ability, covering new accounting standards and acquisition accounting.
