Laboratory Technician

AMG Alpoco UK, a subsidiary of AMG Superalloys UK, is a producer of air
and inert gas atomized aluminum powders; we are looking to recruit the following:

Laboratory Technician (Maternity Leave)
A Laboratory Technician is required to provide maternity cover in a busy
Laboratory environment. The Primary function of this role will be the testing of
various Aluminium and alloy grade powders to specification, and to work with
production departments and management to improve processing capabilities.

The ideal candidate will need to be able to handle the challenges of various
powders that require various degrees of testing, be able to work alone and at
times with wider groups, be computer literate with particular emphasis on use of MS Excel, have excellent communication skills, good time management, and a flexible attitude to work load and changes in priorities.

Hours of work are 12hr shifts on a rotating day pattern, with need for working
alternate weekends. Previous experience of working in a similar testing
environment, with pressures of production, would be an advantage.

On site training would be provided to the successful candidate.
