The College has recently introduced new models for independent learning and tutorial support. As a result, they now have a vacancy for a Pastoral and Study Skills Coordinator to help them realise their vision for goal-oriented independent learning and pastoral support. Within this role, you will take responsibility for the day-to- day operations of the Active Learning Zones (independent learning spaces) and the delivery of their tutorial programme.

Ensuring that Active Learning Zones are effectively resourced and one-to one tutorials are consistently delivered to a high standard, you will provide a ‘student first’ service which helps students achieve and progress.

With knowledge of Teaching and Learning, Coaching and Mentoring or Additional Learning Support, you must have experience of supporting students in a learning situation, providing advice and guidance and of working in an appropriate vocational or subject area.  You must be capable of coaching, mentoring and safeguarding the welfare of young people and be able to provide pastoral and tutorial support to students and facilitating learning across a mixed range of levels, modes and abilities.
