Managing Director (with Investment Mgmt Certificate)

This is a brand new vacancy due to the business growth and development of the organisation (nature of business - provision of packaged insurances and investments for the UK retail financial services market).

You will report to the Chairman and CEO implementing company's strategy and ensure that the business is managed effectively (Accounts, Operations, Business Development, Marketing and Compliance).

Also, you will work with the Executives to promote Direct to Consumer Investment products. The job holder will be responsible for promoting the same products through strategic business partners and Independent Financial Advisers. In this role you will be a member of an Investment committee with specific regulatory accountability (Controlled Function 30) for investment decisions and process within the Investment Products.

On a day to day basis you would be monitoring economic, regulatory, political and corporate news which have impact on the investment product and services provided. You will participate in working out the marketing strategy to promote the growth of an Internet based distribution strategy at low cost (manage the marketing resources to optimise online marketing opportunities as well as manage external SEO services provider). You would be networking at a senior management level in the Financial Services sector to establish further investment service and product opportunities.

Essential Knowledge and Experience

• Board level experience
• Experience within Financial Services industry - especially in retail investment products
• Very strong marketing Experience
• Business development experience (negotiation, presentation and sales skills)
• IMC (Investment Management Certificate) qualified or equivalent
