My client is a market leader with more than 25 years in the financial industry. Due to recent growth they are now looking for a Web Application Developer to join their expanding Leeds based team of 5.

Role:

  • To develop high quality, practical application related functionality to the business areas in line with corporate and IT standards.
  • To provide application support for new and existing internally developed and configured systems.
  • To develop new application functionalities and system integrations using stand-alone development tools and standard software packages to business requirements.
  • To liaise with the Business Analysts, Test and Project management staff within IT plus the end user representatives to ensure the right solution is developed and implemented.
  • To develop small changes, operational releases and provide application support to existing and new applications.
  • To develop new and existing windows, web and systems integration solutions, including reports, using a variety of development tools, configuration or enhancing of standard software packages.
  • To provide high quality products adhering to development methodologies, coding standards and the companies technical architecture.
  • To work with other IT teams and wider company staff to identify and analyse requirements, propose and develop technical solutions providing development estimates to projects and small changes.
  • To work with 3rd Party consultants and contractors as required to enhance the current development capabilities.
  • To adhere to standards, methodologies and best practices as part of the development life cycle.
