Deputy Home Manager
Haddon Hall Care Home – Buxton
Full-time (42 hours/week)
Salary: circa £34,000 per annum

We are looking for experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join the team in our beautiful, brand new care home.

About us
Haddon Hall Care Home, conveniently located on the A515 London Road in the Beautiful Historic Spa Town of Buxton, provides 24-hour residential, nursing and dementia care to the elderly. We look after up to 75 residents in beautifully decorated, private, en suite bedrooms, with a range of well-appointed lounges, dining rooms and landscaped, terraced gardens. As part of the Care Home Group, we are committed to delivering person-centred care through the development of individualised care plans, to ensure the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents are met, and that they receive care that promotes choice, dignity and respect.

About the role
Reporting to the Home Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated Nurses and Care Assistants, motivating them to achieve our high standards of care and clinical excellence. Through regular audits of our person-centred care plans you will ensure the delivery of that care is accurately recorded and that all relevant documentation is always up to date. An open communication style is essential in this role along with the ability to implement action plans for improvement and to build a reputation of high quality delivery for the community. You will also support the Home Manager in a number of business areas, developing your skills to ensure competent management in the Manager’s absence.

About you
This is an ideal opportunity for a senior Registered Nurse with management experience, wanting to take the next step in their career. Applicants must be highly motivated, professional in approach and appearance, and have excellent leadership and communication skills. We are looking for individuals with a genuine warm and friendly manner, who can multi-task where necessary and remain enthusiastic in their approach. You must be able to pay attention to the details and be capable of working under your own initiative, and be available to work shifts, possibly including some weekends.

Successful appointments are subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check. Candidates must have a valid NMC Pin Number and be authorised to work in the EU.

To ensure our staff can provide the highest possible standards of care, we provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training and development. Relevant courses, such as moving and handling, infection control, fire training and food hygiene, ensure all our employees continually update their skills and knowledge.
