A Warehouse Supervisor (Stock Control) is required to join one of the largest distributors of computer supplies in Europe with sales in excess of €800m, based on the Euroway Trading Estate, Bradford.
The job will suit a person who is precise in their approach to their work. They need someone with a number of years' experience with drive, determination and the willingness to shoulder responsibility to help grow the business into a national and global presence.
Key day to day responsibilities:
- To plan and ensure that all stock is accurately accounted for
- To ensure that all stock is documented in accordance with our stock records
- To ensure that all stock is allocated appropriately
- To ensure housekeeping for Stock areas is at satisfactory level
- To order and keep correct stock levels of packaging materials
- To set and review monthly bonus with the line Manager
- To work closely at problem solving with other areas within Distribution Centre
- Daily reporting
- Holiday Planning
- Staff appraisals
Essential Skills
- Jobholders will be expected to work up to 4 weekends per year for stocktaking
- Able to follow safe working procedures
- Communication skills. They will be expected to speak verbally or by email/fax to customers, suppliers, carriers and members of other departments
- A good head for business
- The ability to delegate and motivate others
- Professional appearance and attitude
- The ability to work to deadlines and cope with the consequent pressure
- Industry experience would be advantageous
