Reporting to:                     Deputy Head of Operations

Department:                      Operations

Location:                             Manchester

 

Job Purpose:

Responsible for all aspects of client cash processes & daily administrative activities for all the company’s clients, ensuring that the department adheres to all Money Laundering, HMRC, FCA  rules and regulations, internal policies and procedures.

To assist the Deputy Head of Operations & CF10A ensuring all controls & procedures are adhered to throughout.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. To assist the Finance Director & the Chief Executive in ensuring the reporting aspects of all areas that affect the company funds are closely monitored and communicated daily. This includes but is not limited to:
  2. reporting of cash balances
  3. FX management
  4. Liquidity monitoring
  5. Issue escalation
  6. Monitoring and managing trading activity in respect of Crest Cap and margin calls
  7. Deposit framework
  8. Counterparty Risk and Exposure reporting
  9. Relationship management of banks (firm & client money)
  10. Bank signatory lists
  11. Interaction with Credit Control

 

 

  1. To ensure all functions are carried out in a manner consistent with all CASS, Regulatory and internal best practice methodologies.
  1. Continually review and update operating procedures, to challenge existing processes and to look for efficiencies wherever possible.

 

 

  1. To help develop Service Levels and KPIs as required. Working with the Deputy Head of Operations, CF10A & Head of Group Risk to ensure there are adequate controls in place to identify, anticipate and manage operational issues and that quality is maintained at a high level, in accordance with all rules of best practice guidance issued by the FCA, the LSE, Internal and external audit and the HMRC, in an overall environment of first-class compliance;

 

 

  1. To assist the Deputy Head of Operations in the business planning process to establish goals/targets/objectives. Follow this through by agreeing, establishing  and monitoring standards, systems and procedures, thereby ensuring that the department as a whole provides an excellent quality service meeting Front Office and Client’s needs and expectations;
  1. Manage, motivate and develop the team. To promote an environment which is open, stimulating and supportive, encouraging positive staff attitudes in a climate of rapidly evolving service developments, changing technology and challenging business targets.

 

 

  1. Maintain awareness of all market, product and Client developments. Work closely with the Deputy Head of Operations with regard to internal product developments to ensure that systems are being enhanced to obtain maximum value, that software releases undergo User Acceptance Testing, that program bugs identified by testing are rectified and that staff are properly trained.

 

 

  1. Be involved in resolving day-to-day operational problems where required and perform root cause analysis on issues arising.
