My client is a U.S. based international market leader specialising in IT solutions based on Cloud Technology. Having experienced unprecedented levels success and demand from their clients and have grown from 650-900 employees in the last 12 months.

In response to the business opportunity in the UK and EMEA my client has opened a London office based in the heart of the City. The new office has been operating for the last 13 months and already has a sales team of 8 people which my client hopes quadruple in six over the next 12 months. The Team is highly successful achieving in excess of 200% of their annual target.

This is a highly entrepreneurial environment where individuals have the freedom to develop their own business as well as being supported by a database of over 10, 000 clients which require development. Structured Sales training in the form of 4-6 week training programme at Head office on the west Coast of U.S is offered as is continuous training and development within the local London team.

The IT Sales Consultant/Business Development Consultant will work in an intimate team of 2 other additional sales consultants supported by a Sales manager in the local office as well as the global SVP for business development managers/sales consultants.

Successful candidates will be graduates or those with an equivalent qualification. Though an IT background is advantageous it is not compulsory as comprehensive training will be provided. Bright, driven graduates with a passion for a career in Sales is the minimum requirement. As the company is still in growth mode, opportunities will grow out of this role which offers a long term career development and opportunity.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The position requires heavy cold calling and positioning of the company's product offering, which consists of 4 products to new prospects in the technology industry. In this role, you are responsible for generating sales qualified opportunities that result in new revenue for the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make a minimum of 50 calls a day to prospects
  • Proactively call and qualify prospects generated from marketing lists, tradeshows and former prospects who you will re-engage
  • Ability to articulate our competitive stance
  • Generate 15+ sales qualified opportunities per month
  • Achieve and/or exceed quota

  • Knowledge of the IT, Professional Services, CRM or ERP markets and applications is desired
  • Demonstrate exceptional positioning and qualification skills, with proven evidence of reaching sales objectives
  • Ability to uncover needs through a consultative approach
  • Organized, detail oriented and self -motivated
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to effectively communicate through phone and email is required

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 year(s) of inside sales experience - desirable
