Presenting itself as a central point for the community & for the right candidate, this opportunity would open the doors to fantastic scenery and a quiet and relaxed lifestyle.

This is based in Argyll, a rural area approximately 80 miles from Glasgow, with the largest towns being Oban, Lochgilphead and Campbeltown at the furthest point on the peninsula. There is easy access, via boat, to Islay, Bute, Gigha, Arran and from Campbeltown to Ireland.

We're investing. We're growing. And we've got real purpose as we champion a better way of doing business for you and your community. This represents a return to our roots; a turnaround which sees our business re-focusing on its founding principles, and through commercial success, creating real value & benefits for our members and the communities in which we operate.

It's an exciting time to join us as a Store Manager as we roll out our new store formats, shape the future of responsible community retailing and work to become the number one convenience retailer in the UK. With the promise of over 100 new store openings a year and a huge commitment to refitting our existing estate, there is bags of opportunity to grow your career with us.

Leading by example, you'll love getting to know your customers and colleagues and enjoy the freedom to manage your team your way. Ambitious and enthusiastic you'll inspire everyone to work together for a greater purpose - making a big difference to our profits, commercial success and the community shopping experience.

With a strong commercial focus you will lead and inspire your team to improve store standards and increase sales. As one of our Store Managers you'll learn there's something a bit different about life at the Co-operative. Our belief in putting our customers, our people and the local community at the heart of everything we do. With a proven background as a retail or customer facing leader you'll know exactly how to motivate your team to achieve even more success. Experienced in a fast paced environment like ours is a big advantage too, but for us the most important thing is that you can bring an uncompromising passion, leadership and positive energy to everything you do.

In return, you'll enjoy our industry leading tailored 12 week training programme that'll help you to develop your own authentic leadership style with a clear career path and plenty of opportunity to progress.
