Subject area preferences include Design and Technology (Design & Make); Environment studies; and English. English, Communication & Literacy co-ordinator (TLR 2 + 1 SEN) - cross phase Early Years Foundation Stage teacher (MPG + 1 SEN) Mowbray School is a North Yorkshire County Council Special School, currently with 160 pupils on roll, aged between 3 and 16 years. We educate and care for pupils with the following needs; MLD; SLD; ASC; PD & BESD. The school has an excellent reputation and we have a very high demand for pupil places, the ability range of the school is between P2 and GCSE pass grades. The school holds various national awards, which are detailed on the school website, in January 2013 we were inspected by OFSTED and judged as good with outstanding elements. The school has extensive and varied facilities, including a 5.5 acre on site farm; award winning wild life area and two newly built classrooms and a purpose built sports hall, all of which contribute hugely to our provision.
