The role: In Bloomberg Analytics we strive to provide the best experience for our clients. You will be covering a wide spread of queries; one moment you'll be dealing with a query from a hedge fund, the next you could be liaising with a major corporation. Interacting directly with clients on a daily basis, you will be answering their questions and providing rapid solutions to meet their immediate business needs via our chat system, Instant Bloomberg, phone calls and face to face. We are a truly global company and you can expect to be working with a diverse team. From the London office our Analytics department support clients all over the world. In order to meet their needs, we have a strong interest in sourcing candidates with language skills and/or local market knowledge. You will receive comprehensive training at each stage of your career, developing your knowledge of our product and growing as a finance professional. You will have the opportunity to specialise in at least one market sector, such as Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange or Commodities. You will also enhance your skills in client relationship management, problem solving and objection handling. Successful employees in Analytics are passionate about financial markets and keep up to date with recent news and events in order to better understand our clients' needs and provide tailor-made solutions. Working in Analytics will open up your career opportunities as we interact with a number of departments in the company. Typically after 12 - 18 months working in the department, you can expect to transition to a Sales and Relationship Management role. This involves working with finance professionals to promote the Bloomberg terminal as their definitive tool; meeting all their data, news, and analytical needs to achieve business goals. Qualifications/Requirements: - Business fluency in Japanese and English essential - Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience required - Strong interest in financial markets - Enthusiasm for customer service - Ability to sell, with the desire to pursue a career in sales - Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task - Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Desire and flexibility to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment - Interest in technology and software solutions is desirable - Prior experience with use of the Bloomberg Terminal is a plus - Travel is required once in Sales - Available to begin employment in 2016 The process: We recruit on a rolling basis so early application is strongly advised.
