We currently have a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Buyer based in our Croydon Head Office. You will be working to identify and source new products and reviewing existing products to ensure commercial viability whilst maintaining competitiveness and profitability. Your responsibilities will include leading their team to create category strategies aiming to outperform the market.

Part of this role will include:

  • Leading the team to develop, implement and deliver category plans including range reviews, promotions pricing and stock to be consistent with overall commercial strategy.

  • Collaborating with the Marketing team to develop and implement marketing promotion plans and strategies that are relevant to category and effectively driving footfall and profitable sales.

  • Managing and coaching team members to achieve both category and personal development objectives.

  • Leading the promotional review process for the team. Reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of promotions and sharing best practice with colleagues and other stakeholders.

  • Working with the Own Brand team to develop and deliver Own Brand products, improving promotional plans and category strategies.

  • Working in partnership with the Merchandising team to agree merchandising strategies that drive and deliver store objectives and ensuring availability in store.

  • Managing and reviewing pricing to ensure pricing is competitive and maximises profitability.

We are seeking a candidate who is commercially sound with excellent ability to understand and interpret market information. Proven buying experience and strong analytical are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will be able to lead and motivate a team, along with possessing project management experience and the ability to influence at all levels.
