Bloomberg is seeking a contract Negotiation Specialist to join its Global Negotiations Team on a temporary basis for a period of approximately one year. Reporting into the Legal Department, the principal responsibilities of this role will be negotiating contracts for Bloomberg's products and services with its clients. The Negotiations Specialist will coordinate input from internal stakeholders (including Sales, Product Development, Compliance, and Legal) during contract negotiations, draft contract revisions, and advise Sales and Product Development professionals in structuring commercial transactions. For complex legal negotiations, the Negotiations Specialist will work with Legal Counsel. This is not an attorney role and a law degree is not required. The Negotiations Specialist is a critical member of the Global Negotiations Team that is deeply integrated into Bloomberg's innovative global technology and financial information businesses. Practicing in open floor office space, the Negotiations Specialist will collaborate frequently with colleagues and internal clients in an exciting, fast paced, innovative and high-energy work environment. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - 5 years of experience* negotiating legal terms and conditions - Substantial experience in a client or supplier facing role with a strong negotiation background - Experience working in the financial and / or technology sector is preferred - Italian language fluency required Desired skills: - An independent thinker with a positive can-do attitude - Quick learner- will be required to learn about Bloomberg's systems and about the different aspects of negotiating across a number of Bloomberg products and services. - Excellent English written and oral communication skills - Customer service skills: - - Effectively balancing the needs of the internal and external client in a time sensitive environment without sacrificing legal risk - - Drawing on excellent interpersonal skills to build a solution based approach - Ability to manage and prioritize multiple contracts and internal projects; strong organization skills - Strong attention to detail - A self-starter, takes the initiative, and able to work independently and proactively - Strong judgment and work ethic - Collaborative team player *Please note we use years of experience as a guide but we certainly will consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.
