Project Manager – We are ACT. Paying a competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000. Based in Chippenham.

We design, build and manage smart transaction systems for retail, tourism, and public sector and transport clients worldwide. Since 2002, we have built our reputation in three main areas: quality products, innovative solutions and managed operational support services.

It is at this exciting time that we are looking for a Project Manager to join us on our journey of success!

As our Project Manager you will provide guidance and decision-making on issues related to the execution and delivery of assigned internal and external projects. The individual will be responsible for maintaining an on-going project/work plan and will ensure that all work carried out is in alignment with the requirements, goals and objectives of the customer and/or ACT Management Team.

What you need, to be considered for our Project Manager opportunity:

- Excellent communication skills and fluent in English; written and verbal

- 2-5 years’ work experience in project management

- Prince2, PMI, Agile or equivalent qualification(s)

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite including MS Project

- Experience of software development processes and methodology

- ITSO experience (not essential)

- ITIL Knowledge and experience (not essential)

Key responsibilities of the Project Manager role are:

- Creates and executes project plans and timelines (in Microsoft Project), revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements

- Manages day-to-day governance and administration aspects of a project

- Effectively communicates relevant project information to internal and external stakeholders

- Facilitates internal and external client meetings, gateway reviews and project boards

- Holds regular status meetings with project team

- Reviews deliverables prepared by team before releasing to a client (incl. documentation)

- Anticipates and mitigates project risks that could affect the successful delivery of a project

- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion, providing recommendations

- Takes time to understand contract, ensures timely/accurate invoicing and monitors receivables for project

- Initiates pricing/estimating process following correct procedure

- Tracks and reports on project costs and expenses, analysing project revenue and profitability

- Able to manage sub-contractors and suppliers

- Ensure effect transition and close of projects in to Operational Support
