This training and business consultancy are looking to recruit a BIT Assessor to carry out the assessment process within the Improving Operational Performance L2 Intermediate Apprenticeship (Pathway 3) using Business Improvement Techniques.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Demonstrate they have sufficient technical competence to evaluate and judge evidence for this qualification.
- Know the awarding body requirements for recording assessment decisions and maintaining assessment records.
- Be able to describe the practical aspects of the qualification and quality control the assessment process.
- Provide written declaration that candidate evidence is authentic and the assessment took place under the conditions set out in the assessment specification.
- Provide evidence of assessment decisions made across all aspects of the NVQ assessment.
- Carry out the assessment process, produce assessment plans, that evidence was collated, judged and feedback was given to the candidate.
- Determine that sufficient evidence exists for the performance and knowledge evidence requirements of the assessment routes.
- Check equal opportunities, candidate knowledge of the assessment route, knowledge of the awarding body and relevant policies.
- Ensure consistency of the assessment for different types of candidate, and ensure any special requirements are noted and support given.
- Provide feedback to the Internal Verification/Assessment teams at standardisation meetings.

The position reports directly to the Skills Manager and will be responsible for:

- Being familiar with the structure and content of the qualification and what evidence is required.
- Being familiar with the terminology of the qualification, the occupational standards and the requirements.
- Be fully conversant with the standards against which the assessments are to be carried out, the regulatory authority's systems and criteria for qualifications.
- Work closely with Centre Coordinator & Lead IV, reference EAL (or other awarding body) requirements.
- Work to the awarding body policies and procedures.
- Be aware of the internal quality assurance process.
- Work closely with regional management, trainers and coordinators to ensure timely and accurate completion of portfolios.
- Resolve any issues relating to above.
- Hold the relevant assessor qualification to carry out assessments.
