An exciting vacancy has arisen with Europe's industry leader, designer & manufacturer of accessories and treats for pets and wild birds, with an international customer base & portfolio of big hit brands.

This role is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to demonstrate their strong sales ability & the capacity to drive a team to achieve sales targets. It would best suit a dynamic & experienced Team Leader / Manager from a sales background, with a solid track record of success & exceeding targets.

You will be responsible for managing & driving profitable sales growth through specialist accounts. You will ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment & management of sales personnel. You will also identify objectives, strategies & action plans to improve short & long-term sales & earnings.

Duties:

- Pro-actively promote, sell & maintain sales of the Company's products (New, Current & Exclusive) to designated Existing & Prospect Accounts gaining new distribution points, achieving incremental sales & profitable growth.
- Identify, research & develop new business opportunities.
- Implement a telesales team & be responsible for managing, driving & developing them.
- To review & target lapsed business by developing an assessment of their needs, their organisation structure specifically identifying the decision makers & the overall potential for the company to service their Wholesale requirements.
- Demonstrate excellence in Customer Service & enhance mutual business relationships.
- Develop a deep knowledge of the company & its ranges.
- Conduct high level discussions with Customers relating to product specifications, features & benefits & positioning of the products in the market. Offer email support & outline possible merchandising options in store.
- Maintain accurate customer sales data/records & deal with any Customer Queries in accordance with company policy.
- Agree new customer price banding & follow New Account procedures where a Prospect Account has agreed to open an account.
- Attend & participate in outside events, e.g. Trade Shows, demonstrations, workshops if required.
- Achieve all targets agreed by the Sales Director
- Accurately forecast annual, quarterly & monthly revenue streams.
- Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company's products.

- At least 2 year's solid experience of managing a team in a sales environment
- Ability to work independently & in a team
- Proven ability to exceed set sales targets
- Naturally inquisitive & interested in learning about new products
- Resilient & self motivated personality
- High standard of time management & ability to meet deadlines
- Flexible attitude to working hours
- Developed business acumen & an excellent communicator at all levels
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and Sage applications
