Site Services Electrician

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Site Services Electrician to join a leading concrete building manufacturer in Knottingley. You’ll be working full time, 48 hours per week and will be met with a salary of £31,700 p.a. plus benefits. Working hours are based on a days (6am-2pm) / afternoons (2pm-10pm) shift pattern, with overtime working, including weekends, as dictated by the nature of the job.

The role
As Site Services Electrician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of electrical biased site services and automated production plant, including fault finding and general overhaul of production components and equipment. Your other responsibilities will include:
• Providing services to the production plant for breakdown and fault.
• Electrical project work including panel building and PLC program modifications as required.
• Ensure safe working at all times.
• Installing / maintaining all electrical and electro-mechanical plant or machinery in line with Company requirements.
• Operating a preventative electrical maintenance system to ensure that the plant and machinery is in good working order.
• Fault find and repair any electrical or electro-mechanical related problems on the plant or equipment.

What you’ll need
• Electrical apprenticeship qualified.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience of fault finding and repairs to 3 phase systems.
• Knowledge of PLC programmes and fault finding.
• Conversant with VSD (variable speed drives).
• Able to read schematic electrical drawings.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Basic mechanical maintenance skills.
