Service Engineer / Driver (Manufacturing)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Service Engineer/Driver to join our client’s sales, hire and maintenance branch in Leeds. You’ll be rewarded with a starting salary of £17,000 p.a. as well as a pension scheme, child voucher scheme and opportunity for overtime.

The role
The Service Engineer / Driver will be responsible for carrying out testing, servicing and maintenance of customer and company equipment. You’ll also be responsible for the following:
• DOP, PAT and mask testing.
• Maintaining and calibrating test equipment.
• Maintaining and repairing electrical equipment.
• Accurately completing service reports and paperwork.
• Dealing with deliveries.
• Daily warehouse duties.

What you’ll need
• A current driving licence (maximum of 3 penalty points) and entitlement to tow.
• Gas Safe or electrically qualified is desirable along with plumbing electrics and LPG gas but we will consider anyone from the Asbestos industry or those closely linked to it.
• All round competency and knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical maintenance is required for this semi-skilled position.

With over 30 years experience, our client began as a manufacturer of fibreglass products, supplying the asbestos removal industry in the UK. From there they have designed and developed a full range of decontamination equipment, products and consumables ensuring that people and the environment are protected from exposure to potentially hazardous substances.
