Product Assurance Engineer - Space, Aerospace or Defence

Based in Chelmsford, working for a company that provides technology solutions for high performance systems. The Product Assurance Engineer will work in the Space Imaging division focused on strong business growth based on creating and delivering globally higher value solutions built on enabling imaging sensor technology platforms.

The Product Assurance Engineer will join the existing Product Assurance Team reporting to the Product Assurance Manager.

The Product Assurance Engineer is required to provide support to the Space Imaging Division, supplying high quality custom image sensors to external customers such as NASA & ESA prime contractors.

Customer-focussed, the Product Assurance Engineer's role is to support the Product Assurance team to ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded through effective project planning (bid & execution) and control, and in the event of escapes, to ensure that appropriate root cause investigation takes place and that corrective and preventive action is planned, tested and implemented.

To be successful in this role the product assurance Engineer will have the following skills and experience

*A broad understanding of design and production process for electro-mechanical parts and assemblies;
*Proficiency in MS Office;
*A great attention to detail combined with a confident, resilient and professional approach;
*The ability to influence others, business acumen and unique customer focus.
* Working knowledge of MIL-STD and ESCC specifications;ISO9000 or AS9100 Internal Auditor certification;
*Some electronics and software experience of design and production process for electro-mechanical parts and assemblies;
*Product / Quality Assurance exposure / experience, operating within a highly regulated industry.
