SQL Developer / SQL DBA - Central Leeds - £35k + bonus

My client, based in central Leeds, are looking for a SQL Developer / SQL DBA to strengthen their expanding team. The organisation understand the importance of their IT department have have been investing heavily in technology and resources.

We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer / SQL DBA to join a team responsible for the design and development of SQL Server databases and SQL Server architecture, to ensure the SQL databases are kept available, maintainable and deliver excellent performance.

The SQL Developer will be involved in project development, administration and database improvement work as well as providing fixes and changes to the database configuration.

The successful SQL Developer should have experience of database tuning, performance testing, installation and configuration and will be help support complex and distributed SQL databases in production and development environments.

Ideally you will have experience of (not all essential, and applications considered from people with limited experience as long as you have a good foundation in SQL development):

• Writing migration or SQL scripts in SQL Server 2005 - 2012
• Implementing SQL Servers for performance, maintainability, reliability and recoverability.
• Using Red Gate SQL backup and recovery tools
• Using / Implementing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports
• T-SQL - Triggers, Stored Procedures, Views, etc.
• SQL Replication and Log-shipping
• Design / Development of SQL Server Databases

It would be beneficial within this role to have an understanding or experience of working in an ITIL environment.
