Machine Support/Programmer

Due to continued investment and expansion in to new business areas, this central belt employer is looking to hire an additional Machine Support/Programmer to join their existing team.

The Role:

As Machine Support /Programmer you will be responsible for supporting the workcells operating within this facility through the maintenance and programming of all equipment utilised in manufacturing operations.

Have a deep understanding of electronic assembly equipment and processes, including:

- surface mount technology

- wet process

- board de-panelling and

- thermal profiling.

• Determines work priorities with respect to production schedules and interfaces with department and line supervisors
• Provides front line contact between Machine Support and Manufacturing functions
• Addresses repetitive equipment problems and designs long term solutions, supplier liaison
• Drives improvements in line Metrics, efficiencies, yields
• Ensures less than 5% equipment downtime
• Ability to interpret and create equipment programs

Requirements:

• HNC/HND/Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent time-served/Apprenticeship
• Relevant work experience in a similar role
• Computer literacy

Experience in an electronics environment is essential
