Do you have a background in youth provision and a commercial mind-set? Can you develop and implement training services, lead staff teams and manage a large regional area? If so, you could expand ground-breaking support services for disabled young people for a leading national children’s charity.

At Whizz-Kidz, we believe that every young disabled person has the right to a fun and active childhood, and the chance to develop their full potential in life.  Our mission is to transform their lives by providing the equipment, support and life skills they need, when they need them. We give them opportunities to build friendships and have fun, and training to help them gain skills to achieve independence and look forward to a bright future. Funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund, our services are set to make a bigger difference than ever before.

We’re breaking new ground, driving forward ambitious and innovative plans, and we need new recruits who share our dynamic, collaborative approach and want to join a team who will be transforming young lives.

Your challenge: You will develop our network of Ambassador Clubs, Wheelchair Skills Training services, Residential Camps, and Work Placements throughout Wales. Managing a small team of Regional Services Co-ordinators, you will see that they provide a structured community approach to the services delivering against our targets set out in our Bright New Futures funding through the Big Lottery.  You will also provide them with the training and support they need to foster and develop networks of volunteers and young leaders.

Your profile: We are looking for someone with a degree or equivalent related to supporting the personal development of children and young people or qualified by experience in youth provision. With a background of working directly with young people and developing skills and lifestyle training for them, you must have a good track record of managing people, projects and budgets.

Young disabled people are central to everything we do and we strive to include their needs, voices and experiences in all our work – giving them responsibility to help shape what we do. If you think like us, we should work together.
