A Confectionery Manager is required to join a manufacturing and distribution company providing bakery products such as pies, bread, cakes and sandwiches to numerous outlets across the North West, including SPAR, Booths supermarkets, and football clubs such as Liverpool, Everton, Blackburn Rovers, and Preston North End.
Basis of Employment: Permanent
Hours: 38 contracted hours per week - 5:00am start 5 days over 7, on a job and finish basis
Overall Purpose of the job:
To effectively manage a team which is responsible for the production and packing of ambient and chilled confectionery products. Ensuring daily production and dispatch deadlines are met and all products meet company and legal standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To effectively review production and delivery schedules based on business needs, ensuring effectiveness in the teams productivity and the control of all associated costs
- Ensure production is manufactured to desired quality.
- To create weekly staff rotas detailing shift patterns.
- To effectively record, manage and control departmental KPI's
- To deliver a weekly production report, effectively communicating the depot KPI's and time based action points/deliverables
- To effectively assist in the development of new products.
Applicants will need:
- To demonstrate proven success in a supervisory/management role within a fast moving confectionery environment.
- To demonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels, both in written and verbal communications
- The ability to adapt in order to meet the changes in business needs.
- To demonstrate the willingness to take flexible approach to working hours and patterns based on business needs
