A small primary school in Tower Hamlets would like to appoint a primary teaching assistant for the rest of the academic year, starting as soon as possible. The primary school is flourishing academically achieving great SATs results. The primary school received high praise in their latest OFSTED commenting on the good relationship between staff and students and the positive ethos of the school.
You will be supporting a small SEN (Special Educational Needs) department with another teaching assistant under the direction of the SENCO.
The primary school has a number of students with identified needs including mild Autism and Dyslexia. You will be assisting students both in mainstream classes and within dedicated student times in the library.
Please note the following requirements prior to applying for this position:
- You must have good spoken English;
- You must have a minimum of 6 months child related experience;
- Your CV must cover the last 5 years employment history and any employment breaks must be explained;
- You need to supply two recent references of which one must be from a school setting;
- This position is subject to an Enhanced CRB Disclosure.
