Web Developer/Web Designer (Entry Level)

Description

Aceville Publications is a leading independent UK publisher specialising in female interest magazines. We're a small team looking to further expand and we're excited to welcome a new member. Your work will contribute directly to the core business priorities and make a meaningful impact on a daily basis.

About the Role

  • You'll work alongside our developer and project managers on all kinds of visual work, from creating blog post images to coding ground-up web pages (and a lot in between). We're thinking this role would be suitable for someone that's passionate about the web but is looking for a way in.
  • We expect you to code, so you should be able to markup anything into working (and great) HTML/CSS. Javascript and dev skills are a great bonus, but not required.
  • Your projects will start with workflows that we've refined over the years. You take it from there, working with various members of the team in Editorial, Web, Studio and Advertising. There's over 180 of us!
  • You'll be working with people that give you the time and the environment to bring out your best work. This also means you must be incredibly persistent and open to feedback/debate.
  • You'll be helping us build upon and maintain a portfolio of over 30 websites and other digital products promoting the latest trends, news and must-have help and advice. All whilst working with industry-leading brands such as a LEGO, SKY, Amazon, Mettel, Comic Relief and PG.

About You

  • You set a higher bar for your work than anyone else.
  • Your skills get measurably better over time and you never stop working on your craft.
  • You have a basic understanding (experience too) of web design and best practices.
  • Sense of humor, a solid work ethic and a desire to have fun.

ONLY CV's with work samples/portfolio will be taken into consideration

Graduates are welcome to apply.
