.Net Developer required with the ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into a user-friendly technical solution often having to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
Salary: GBP25k - GBP30k depending on experience
Location: Wilmslow, Manchester, Cheshire
We are a successful expanding Packaging Based Distribution Business in Handforth Cheshire who are looking for an experienced .Net Developer (VB.Net, .Net, SQL, MS, Developer) to help us deliver a range of projects. The successful candidate will have experience of leading and managing old and new projects strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a sharp focus and attention to detail. Flexible, hard-working and enthusiastic, are therefore vital to this role.
The .Net Developer will be expected to be involved in the continual life cycle development of our data base which is currently an existing MS access system which will be replaced. MS Access is currently being developed to operate from an SQL 2005 server with a VB Net 2008 fronted system.
The .Net Developer will need to be able to develop our core products and services across a variety of product ranges, work involves design, development, support and maintenance of existing and new projects, primarily working on new enquiry/sales order/delivery system.
The ideal person (.Net Developer, VB.Net, .Net, SQL, MS, Developer) will require the following skills:
-Fluent with VB Net 2008 (Although if fluent with VB.net 2005 then this will be considered acceptable)
-Microsoft SQL 2005
-Microsoft Access 2003 (expert knowledge not required but there must be a good working knowledge) or experience of documenting pre-existing systems (both from a technical & user perspective)
-Must be able to understand MS access coding.
-Appetite to understand sage line 50 & payroll experience
-Write program specifications
-Develop or amend code as documented in the design
-Unit test and bug fix code
-Maintain and support system
-Provide support outside of normal working hours in line with company policy
-Documenting and mapping all development work carried out
-Demonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills
-Have a broad overview of IT issues. Both software and hardware
-Being able to provide full progress details with members of the team including Accounts, Sales & Marketing
-Team orientated player
-Minimum 2 years programming experience
-Ad-hoc tasks to support all employees and businesses as required

-Ability to manage fluid and varied workload
Exhibit a flexible, can-do attitude to problem solving using own initiative
-Be reliable and motivated
