Livedrive are creating cloud storage technology for a dynamic and fast moving market. Based in London, we are growing rapidly both in terms of bringing in large numbers of new customers every month and providing new features to the platform. We self-host our multi-petabyte storage cloud, optimising our platform for the best possible throughput and cost/GB. We have a fast moving, high-speed development environment building services for multiple platforms in multiple programming languages.
Job Description:
You will work with the other members of our existing development team to maintain and expand our already highly scalable platform. You will closely collaborate with both QA and Operations to design new features that are easy to test and deploy.
While your primary focus will be .Net development, it is important that you can get along well with a diverse set of programmers on different platforms. We deploy on Mac, Windows, Android and iOS and run backend servers on both Windows and Linux. A strong grasp of the basics of computer science and high quality code is absolutely essential.
Responsibilities of the .Net Developer:
???Writing high concurrency, scalable code
???Tuning and evolving our existing application servers and services.
???Designing new features and services as required to grow the business
Required Skills & Experience:
???At least 8 years of experience in a technical role with at least 4 years in a .Net role.
???An expert in one area of the .Net framework with a solid understanding of at least one other area (Server development, application development, web development etc.)
???Design experience on massive scale systems (you need to be able to reason strongly about scalability)
???Code profiling, diagnostics, troubleshooting and performance optimization
???The ability to communicate clearly with your colleagues and challenge them to do their best
???Able to prosper in a high pressure, high energy environment
???Experience with relational databases (we use MySQL, but other experience is fine)
???A working knowledge of at least one other programming language is encouraged.
???A degree in Computer Science (or similar qualifications and experience)
