Based in Essex the Supply Chain planner will work for a leading manufacturer of high performance imaging systems, RF power solutions and Hi-rel semiconductor solutions for aerospace and defence programmes. The Supply Chain Planner is a key role within the Operations department. Working with customers that are deemed Major Accounts, the role will work closely with colleagues within all areas of the business to deliver world-class Supply-Chain services, strong delivery performance and customer satisfaction, while keeping the control and the predictability of the related financial flows and inventory levels. The incumbent will work closely with the customers to proactively manage and develop high value accounts, and be responsible for managing supply-chains for a product portfolio.
To be successful in this role the Supply Chain Planner will have the following skills and expereince
*Experience of operating in a Supply chain role within a manufacturing organisation in a complex, international and multi-cultural context
*Continuous improvement and process-oriented mind set
*Drive to ensure excellent customer service and quality of customer experience
*Strong persuasive communication, influencing and negotiation skills both verbally and in written form
*Self-organized and used to working to tight deadlines and able to prioritise workload under pressure by risk management
*Advanced understanding and experience of working with ERP and CRM systems (SAP or equivalent) from a Planning / Customer Service perspective.
*Extensive knowledge of MS Excel and good working knowledge of other MS office products (Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
Key Words - Supply chain planner, ERP and CRM along with SAP continuous improvement strong negotiation skills.
