Well Travelled Flights Consultant - Glasgow

Our client, a well established and 'award winning' travel company, is currently looking to recruit a number of well travelled flights consultants to join their expanding & very busy operation in central Glasgow

*Please note that full training will be provided for candidates who have no previous experience working in the travel industry

The Role

As a well travelled flights consultant you will primarily handle enquiries from direct customers within a busy travel office, and make reservations for all domestic, International & multi-sector scheduled flights. You will have the ability to advise your customers on the various airline options to help match their exact requirements, and when possible up-sell various ancillary products such as upgrades & stopovers to help maximise the revenue & profit on each individual booking. You will be confident to offer every customer good destination & geographical knowledge, and as required, contact various airline partners to deal with any problems or issues before departure. You will also handle any amendments to bookings as required, and liase with the ticketing team to process any ticket re-issues.

Requirements

As a well travelled flights consultant you will be independently well-travelled to at least 2 continents outside of Europe and have a proven & stable track record working in a retail or call centre sales environment. You must be able to demonstrate good destination & geographical knowledge, be extremely sales & target driven, and have the ability to maximise the revenue & profit margin on every order/ booking you make. You will be extremely customer focused, have great attention to details, and be able to work to tight deadlines under pressure, will also be a self-starter, very PC literate, and have the ability to work effectively within a team, as well as on your own initiative.
