Senior Developer - Java, Apama, Design, Trading System Monitoring
Senior Developer sought on major long term project for world class trading company in the city. You will provide development and support of an enterprise market surveillance system, to provide the compliance team with the ability to systematically monitor client and internal brokers' trading activity.
Full software life cycle (including business analysis, architecture, design, development, and delivery) of:
* Market surveillance system functionality and enhancements
* Automated test framework including JUnit tests
* Integration with new trading systems, products and protocols
* Integration with message bus and other message transport technologies
Essential Skills:
* Expert level of Java development and ideally Apama (Progress)
* Software architecture and design
* Multithreading, design patterns
* Designing for low latency
* Financial messaging
* Experience with automated test frameworks & continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins
* Leading a small development team
* Effective communicator to varied levels and audiences
* Strong client facing abilities
Preferable:
* Experience delivering or working on Market Surveillance Solutions or Algorithmic Trading Systems
* Apama EPL (Event Processing Language)
* Broad knowledge of financial markets, eg FX, Futures, Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Commodities
* Front Office trading/brokerage
* Python
* JUnit
* FIX
