The Health Innovation Sensory Assistant is a 12 month year in industry placement opportunity to assist with the execution of the sensory evaluation programme that supports the needs of the Health categories. • Specialist role assisting with the co-ordination of the Health sensory programme. • Key working relationships are with Category R&D, Regulatory (Global), Medical Affairs, Marketing, Scientific Services Group, Category Global Fragrance Manager • Owner ship of all study related document control ensuring all are processed in accordance with the Quality Management System. • Assist in the development of new methodologies to enable differentiating claims. • Ownership of the maintenance programme for the Sensory Evaluation facilities. Responsibilities To assist with the execution of the sensory evaluation programme to support the development of new, and the enhancement of, existing products through:- • Implementation and interpretation of sensory evaluation data, including compiling written reports. • Assist in the development of new sensory methodologies • Take ownership of quality management systems and ensure all documentation is correct and present in all study files. • Be responsible for confidentiality and data protection agreements with external agencies. • Liaise with internal and external key stake holders and remote teams to ensure seamless lines of communication, quality service and efficient processes. • Facilitate internal panel testing and assist in panel coaching and acuity screening. • To ensure that all testing complies with both British standards and other external advisory establishments. • To assist in the measurement of the performance of the sensory team using appropriate KPI's and using these to improve and develop the service provided. • To ensure all activities conform to legislative, health and safety and environmental requirements Key Challenges • To assist the Sensory Associates with the planning and organisation of resources to meet the testing programme including recruitment of panellists and test schedule. • Understanding and implementation of appropriate methodologies to meet research objectives. • To ensure all activities conform to legislative, health and safety and environmental requirements. • To assist the Sensory Associates with continually improving, developing and implementing new techniques. • Ensuring all documents are processed according to both the Business and Quality Management systems. Qualifications: Qualifications / Experience • Experience of working with people • Statistical awareness • Studying for a degree in a scientific discipline with a preference for Sensory Science • Good Team Worker • Excellent interpersonal skills • Good Communication skills • Flexible • Good planning & organisational skills • The business language in RB is English, therefore fluency in English is essential and fluency in local languages advantageous • In line with RB core values, the candidate will be achievement focussed and able to work in a direct and often pressurised environment.
