A challenging opportunity for a Sales Executive has arisen within a company that specialises in the design, manufacturing, installation, servicing, maintenance and modernisation of commercial and residential lifts and escalators.

You will be responsible for securing contracts for new lifts within the South East of England in accordance with annual targets, for prospecting and generating proposals and for closing contracts. You will maintain and build relationships with client decision makers whilst continually, expanding product knowledge, market and competitor information. You will maintain accurate and up to date information in the Company systems and provide accurate and timely reporting as required.

Main Accountabilities:

- Winning New Sales Contracts
- Generating Proposals and Managing Enquiries
- Updating Sales Systems and Forecasting
- Product and Market Knowledge Development
- Account Management

Personnel Specification:

- You should have significant technical sales experience in the construction industry, preferably in the Lift Industry.
- You should be qualified to A level or equivalent standard, preferably with a Technical or Business Degree.

Technical Skills:

- Technical Sales Ability: You should be able to sell technical products through the use of product knowledge and excellent sales techniques
- Product Knowledge: You should have the ability to gain a sound knowledge of the complete Company lift portfolio (including strengths and weaknesses) and of competitor products. You will need to have a sound knowledge of the pricing and expected margins to be achieved.
- Market Knowledge: You should be able to develop an excellent knowledge of competitors in the local area including salespersons, sales strategies and pricing.
- Active Listening: You should practice Active Listening, and have the patience to hear people out and accurately sum up what has been said.
