Linc Homes - Rent Advisor

Linc has an exciting opportunity for a Rent Advisor to join our busy Homes Team.

Employing over 450 members of staff, Linc has a strong reputation across South Wales as leaders in the field of high quality social housing, affordable home ownership, Extracare schemes, sheltered housing, nursing homes and enterprise businesses, and we have ambitious plans for growth.

Whilst duties may vary, they will include:

• Act as a first point of contact for telephone callers, email enquiries and visitors to Reception and provide a high quality and efficient service that meets customers and Linc’s expectations.

• Provide efficient and effective housing benefit (HB) and LCHO administration.

• Monitoring rent accounts, making contact with tenants, referrals to the Money Advice Team and Housing Officers.

• Preparation of paperwork for the county courts.

• Build and maintain effective working relationships with agencies such as local authorities, DWP, social services, and voluntary and statutory groups, to meet service delivery needs.

You will be responsible for providing an exceptional standard of customer service to all callers and visitors to Linc, resolving rent and arrears queries and providing back up administration support to the team.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and have experience in either a customer contact or administration environment. Ideally you will have worked in or alongside a social housing environment and have sound knowledge of housing allocation procedures, monitoring rent accounts and rent arrears.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as you will be responsible for providing general advice and information to tenants and prospective tenants.
