Job Title: Acting Branch Manager/Assistant Branch Manager
Location: Oxford, OX2
Salary: Cira £17k/£19k + bonus
Established as a family run shop in 1924, the company has now grown to be the Leading Independent Footwear Retailers in the North East and one of the largest Independents in the UK. They are now looking to recruit an Assistant Branch Manager for their Oxford store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff management including gaining a full knowledge of products and services, controlling branch standards and effective management of the sales floor
- Acting as an integral part of the store’s management team you will have key holder responsibilities and will ensure that your team operates within a motivated and productive environment
- To recognise performance issues and with the support of the manager, deliver improvements through effective performance management and leadership skills
- To effectively manage stock through the company reports and provide feedback within the merchandise criteria
- Reporting and dealing with Absence and Disciplinary issues in line with Company procedures
The ideal candidate will be able to fulfil the following criteria;
- Strong people-focused team player who is able to delegate effectively and manage people
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Flexible with regard to hours of work and trading hours
- Friendly by nature and be able to liaise with people on all levels
- Key contributor to the Branch team objective and performance goals
- Must be customer focused and service driven
- Proven retail sales experience at a similar level and ideally within the shoe industry.
