Laboratory Assistant

Broughton Laboratories Limited has an exciting opportunity and is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join us in North Yorkshire. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a very competitive salary + pension.

We are seeking to recruit a hardworking, highly motivated and professional Laboratory Assistant capable of working within a fast-moving quality laboratory environment. You will be responsible for supporting our analytical chemists and project scientists in their everyday tasks and performing housekeeping duties.

Previous experience of working within a laboratory environment is advantageous; however this is not a pre-requisite.

Main Purpose of Laboratory Assistant Job:

- To support and improve the efficiency of the laboratory by ensuring the required equipment and consumables are available for use and to ensure housekeeping standards are maintained.

- To continuously deliver our service to ensure customer expectations are always met and often exceeded.

It is essential that our ideal Laboratory Assistant has:

- Minimum of a GSCE in science with a desire to learn the workings of an analytical laboratory

- Good verbal, numeral and literacy skills

- Good IT skills

- Excellent attention to detail
