About Us

Stagecoach Group is a leading international public transport company, with extensive operations in the UK, mainland Europe, United States and Canada. Our current headcount is 37,800 staff operating bus, coach, rail, and tram services.

Stagecoach is the UK's biggest bus and coach operator. We have major city bus operations in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Hull, Sheffield, Oxford and Cambridge, as well as inter-urban services linking smaller locations. We also run the low-cost coach service megabus.com in the UK and in several countries in mainland Europe.

The Group is a major UK rail operator, directly running the South West Trains, Island Line and East Midlands Trains networks. Stagecoach and Virgin have partnered to jointly run the East Coast and West Coast inter-city rail franchise.

Stagecoach also operates a major tram network in Sheffield.

In North America, we operate the megabus inter-city coach brand, as well as commuter, tour and charter, and sightseeing services.

The Group's joint ventures include Virgin Rail Group, New York sightseeing company Twin America, and Scotland's biggest coach operator, Scottish Citylink.

The Role

As an organisation we are looking to further develop our Information Security governance building on our work to deliver PCI DSS into the business. We are looking to appoint a group level Head of Information Security to lead from board level downwards including operating as lead for the Information Security steering group.

Reporting into the Group IT Director, this role will have responsibility for leading and delivering our Information Security strategy and roadmap with a focus on Cyber Security across the organisation.

Although Stagecoach is a large business, Technology is run efficiently and has a relative small footprint. We do not have a dedicated information security division; although we do have broad information security expertise within the team, and would envisage this role initially working standalone. We would require someone who is comfortable working with this brief and is an experienced self starter and motivator. Knowledge of network and data security principles and practices is essential coupled with a strong Information Security background.

Experience in shaping and delivering Information Security strategy and processes will be a must have and the ability to grasp the challenges of the role will be crucial to successfully operating in this position.

In return for your skills and experience you will receive a competitive base salary and benefits package coupled with the unique opportunity to shape and deliver Information Security policy for an organisation of this size.

All applications will be handled exclusively by Dan Newbold at Robert Walters.
