Our client runs a private, GSF registered, nursing home for the elderly, set in approximately one acre of landscaped gardens in a Grade 2 listed Georgian residence situated in Hayle.

The Ideal candidate:
*Be a qualified RGN
*Must be flexible
*Have excellent clinical skills
*Have an empathy with older people
*Be able to work in a Person Centred way
*Able to work on own initiative
*Able to work alone as well as part of a team
*Excellent documentation and care planning skills
*Ability to communicate effectively and liaise with other agencies
*Have up to date knowledge

Responsibilities:
*To ensure that appropriate individual care is given to each resident, in accordance with care plans.
*To administer medication, (including insulin and other injections as prescribed).
*To undertake dressings as required.
*To monitor, record and address as needed, residents nutritional and dietary requirements.
*To monitor residents conditions and contact GP's as necessary.
*To report / document all accidents.
*Take on the roles and responsibilities of named nurse for allocated residents, ensuring care
plans are evaluated, in date, relevant and medication is reviewed on a regular and timely manner.
*To help care for residents who are terminally ill.
*To undertake other duties, as necessary.
