We are recruiting for a national charity helping vulnerable people to lead fulfilling lives and reach their potential.
They have over 50 services, supporting in excess of 1,000 people throughout Great Britain to meet the needs of people with learning and physical disabilities, people with mental health problems, elderly Religious, people who have difficulties with drug and alcohol abuse and migrants who are vulnerable to homelessness.
We are looking for Female Support Workers / Health Care Assistants to Help individuals attain personal goals, achieve desired outcomes and realise their potential. If you have proven work experience for any of the following working with vulnerable people then we would like to hear from you:
We are recruiting for our Mental Health Team covering North London we are looking for an experienced female support worker to join the team (due to the ratio of women in the service) This post is advertised in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 as a genuine occupational qualification for the post.
We are also looking for experienced support workers in our Learning Disabilities Team covering Enfield/Southgate.
Or we welcome you to join the team at the Resource Centre, Ponders End which supports people with more complex needs to access the community and carry out different activities.
Support may include:
• Helping people to apply for benefits and manage their finances to pay for household bills
Shopping (not for Resource Centre).
• Encouraging individuals to link with activities and hobbies in the local community.
• Building people's independent living skills and confidence.
• Supporting individuals to maintain their wellbeing and to manage medication independently (MH and LD only) or assist in the administering of medication (Resource Centre only).
• Sign post people to pursue learning activity or employment.
• Encouraging individuals to look after their homes , highlighting any health and safety issues (MH and LD only)
What we can offer:
• A salary of £8.22 or £8.87ph (depending on the post)
