Product Director required for Mobile.

Ecommerce client require a Product Director for a role based in London. Mobile work stream, previous experience leading Mobile Product teams is needed for this role. Central London location, decent benefits and bonus on offer. Office hours 9.30- 5.30, with the option to work from home from time to time. This is an excellent opportunity for a Product Director with Mobile experience.

Experience required for the Mobile Product Director:

The Mobile Product Director will be an experienced, collaborative, technically literate and commercially minded Product SME who has experience supporting global or regional businesses and has successfully launched a technology driven product into a market(s). The ideal candidate will be a strong influencer and consensus builder, capable of working across multiple regions to create, build and implement a cohesive and well aligned global mobile vision and product roadmap. Demonstrating thought leadership and strong emotional intelligence, the Mobile Product Director, must be effective in establishing solid credibility, trust and respect with technology, sales and business leads. Ideally the successful candidate will have prior working experience in the technology, mobile loyalty or payments sectors and be thoroughly familiar with project management disciplines and methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile or Six Sigma. Demonstrating good business and financial acumen, the Head must be familiar with building and owning shadow P&Ls and proficient in balancing revenue potential against capital and operational costs.

Skill Requirements and Competencies for the Mobile Product Director:

• The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in either Information Technology, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Business, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years technical product development and management experience, more latterly performing in a leadership capacity. Ideally the incumbent will have experience working in a technology, consumer facing, CRM related industry, ie, retail, marketing science or card issuing and should have a genuine interest in emerging technologies and consumer marketing trends.

• Proven track record of success in establishing, building and executing a well defined Mobile Product vision, strategy and roadmap. Familiarity with a wide range of mobile tools & technologies.

  A strong leader with the ability to apply persuasive and creative thought leadership with mixed stakeholders, and to strengthen and formalize the functional area of product.

• Ability to promote and socialise progressive ideas regarding technical product management and product development disciplines which can help drive, shape and implement a more product centric culture

• Highly process driven with significant experience in leading, managing and launching technology driven consumer products and services. Understanding of product or project management disciplines and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Six Sigma or pragmatic Product Marketing) is required.

• Strong understanding of product technology, adept in bridging the gap between business and technical requirements, with an appreciation and understanding of product and IT engineering partnership.

• Proven ability to design, build and formalize tactical execution plans, and to take responsibility and ownership for all product management and product development initiatives.

• Strong business and financial acumen, with demonstrated ability to strategically develop and position sound and profitable business case propositions.

• Experience in building and developing profit performance and forecasting metrics and for creating and managing shadow P&Ls in the functional area of product.

• Demonstrated ability to build strong and cohesive product teams, skilled in attracting and retaining top talent and nurturing internal capabilities. Displays dynamic energy, focus and initiative with the ability to motivate, mentor and lead a diverse Product team.
