Payroll Administrator - Pensions Operations - Darlington

Capita Employee Benefits would like to hire a Payroll administrator to join their Payroll management team in the Darlington office.

The Payroll administrator will be expected to take responsibility for a number of work initiation projects from inception to delivery.

This will include but not limited to;

  • To liaise with customers on service delivery issues, new work initiatives and ensure any particular issues raised are resolved promptly
  • To create and maintain consistent and accurate scheme records using the appropriate systems
  • To be familiar with the contracted performance targets and quality standards and to make every effort to achieve these
  • To provide excellent customer service to all clients, members and third parties.
  • To complete all tasks using best practice.
  • To respond to all correspondence (both telephone/written and e mail) in a substantive manner within the agreed time limits.
  • To participate in and promote good team communication.
  • To work towards overall goals of the team.
  • To build and maintain personal development file.
  • To process complaints at the earliest opportunity with a positive attitude, addressing the true root cause and implementing effective corrective action in order to prevent re-occurrence.

We are looking for candidates with the following essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE (Grade C - A) to include Maths and English;
  • Excellent MS Word/MS Excel/MS Outlook skills particularly using filters, v lookups & pivots on excel;
  • Reporting MI statistical data;
  • Excellent communication and Interpersonal Skills;
  • Strong Mathematical and Analytical Skills.

Candidates with any of the following experience will also be highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a Contact Centre environment or large teams;
  • Payroll Experience;
  • Pension/Annuities Knowledge;
  • Project Experience.
