They now have an exciting opportunity for a Learner Support Assistant to join them where you will provide a high quality and confidential customer-focussed support service to students with additional learner support needs.

Within the role, you will work closely with the wider student services department to ensure the service meets the needs of students. Working alongside Learner Support Advisors to provide additional support within a managed classroom, you will draw up plans for students and enable them to study independently and achieve their learning goals. Recording daily support records, you will work collaboratively with support and academic staff with changes in support needs whilst supporting students who have neuro-diverse and complex needs as well as those with personal care needs.

As the successful candidate, you will hold GCSE English & Maths at Grade C or equivalent and have previous experience of working with students with additional learner needs. Having worked with Autistic learners, you will have an understanding of the additional learning support needs of students and be able to keep accurate records whilst working under pressure.

Candidate with BSL Level 1 or Level 2 Supported Learning are desirable, but above all you will work effectively as a member of a team, and be able to provide personal care to learners with high SEND.
