Mammographer
This Breast Screening Unit is looking for an enthusiastic Radiographer with an interest in women’s health who would like to join their team.
Candidates must be registered with the HCPC. We can offer full time working contracts to suitable applicants and if you have what my client is looking for they want to recruit you now and welcome you to their friendly and dynamic Breast Screening Department.
They would like to give you the opportunity to deliver the National Breast Screening Programme and participate in symptomatic clinics within the main hospital. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
The Breast Screening Service at present provides regular screening for 59,000 women over 3 years in a Breast Screening unit and on two mobiles which visit various sites around the lovely countryside. This figure will rise to 80,000 with the full implementation of the Age Extension.
The Post Graduate certificate in Mammography is desirable but not essential as training can be given to a fully qualified Band 5 or equivalent with a view to becoming a Band 6 on the successful completion of the course at a recognised training centre.
A car and a full driving licence are essential for this post as some travelling will be involved.
* Role Commences: ASAP
* Rate: Up to £50 per hour (ltd)
* Hours: 35/37.5 per week
* Length of Role: Ongoing - there will be no end date
* Experience Required: UK Post-Graduate experience
