In an age where the debate about food provenance, sustainability and safety has never been more urgent, the challenge for Compassion in World Farming is to combat the spread of factory farming and ensure that animal welfare becomes a fundamental consideration within the global food system.

This post will help the charity achieve its long-term strategy by attracting, mobilising and - most importantly - retaining donors, activists, and other committed supporters. Compassion's ambitious growth plans seek to build our team of engaged, active donors by tens of thousands over the coming five years.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a passion for, extensive experience in, and a deep understanding of digital marketing techniques. This will be matched by a successful track record in traditional direct marketing (direct mail, telephone or direct response advertising). These skills will be applied to lead a results-orientated team delivering online and offline supporter recruitment, conversion and development communications.

The successful applicant will be responsible and accountable for a six-figure budget. They will demonstrate strong project, people and budget management, as well as analytical skills, to deliver challenging income and engagement results to an agreed return on investment.

Last but not least, the successful applicant will be able to use their professional, creative and storytelling skills to inspire our 21st century movement to end factory farming - the biggest cause of cruelty on the planet.

Salary range: GBP34k - GBP38,760 (Depending on Experience)
