Hours:                                   37.5 hrs

Responsible to:                  Branch Management Group

Job Purpose:                      The provision and organisation of efficient and effective secretarial, financial and administrative support

Main Duties:                        The following list is typical of the level of duties which the post holder will be expected to perform.  It is not necessarily exhaustive and other duties of a similar type and level may be required from time to time

 

  1. To plan, organise and manage secretarial and administrative activities to support the delivery of Branch objectives and priorities.

 

 

  1. To provide confidential personal secretary support to the Branch Secretaries and Caseload Manager, including typing, dealing with correspondence, filing and diary management, and administrative support to Branch Officers, Branch Committee and related bodies.
  1. To organise and arrange appropriate administrative support for Branch meetings and Branch participation in regional and national structures and events.
  1. To develop, review, implement and maintain administrative and IT systems and processes, including WARMS database and Branch website.
  1. Over time, to provide advice and guidance to members in accordance with laid down procedures, escalating queries to Branch officers and stewards as appropriate.
  1. To participate in the development and implementation of Branch recruitment activities.
  1. To maintain financial records as directed by the Branch Treasurer.
  1. To co-ordinate the preparation and monitoring of the Branch development plan.
  1. To collate and present information, prepare reports, newsletters and leaflets as required,
