A new role has been created in our client's Facilities team for a Procurement Assistant. The role will focus on supply chain management and administration for a multi-site organisation. This role would be ideal for someone progressing through their certificate in Procurement & Supply Operations (CIPS), or someone with solid experience dealing with contracts in a supply chain administration role.

Procurement Assistant - Benefits:

• 25 Days Holiday, Life Assurance and Pension.

Procurement Assistant - Role Description:

The role of Procurement Assistant will be an integral role within their Facilities team and you will use your knowledge and experience to help define and improve processes surrounding the administration and management of supply chain contracts.

You will be responsible for administering and proactively managing supply chain contracts, such as identifying contract end dates in advance of termination clauses, interpreting and comparing contract clauses.

You will liaise with suppliers during and after the tender process, both over the phone and in writing; ensuring information supplied is accurate and completed tender documents are filed appropriately.

As Procurement Assistant you will maintain and keep up to date various systems such as the contract library and database; savings logs, highlight reports and updating spend information annually.

As a key member of the Facilities team you will be responsible for achieving individual and team objectives, providing administration support where needed.

Procurement Assistant - Skills and Experience Required:

Ideally you will have gained or be working towards attaining your Certificate in Procurement & Supply Operations (CIPS) and have gained administrative experience within a facilities / procurement team. They are looking for someone who is analytical (can interpret and check / compare contract clauses) and liaise confidently with suppliers. On top of that, you will be an efficient assistant who manages administration effectively.

About Our Client:

They are an established Financial Services business with 220 years of experience in their niche lending market; their core offering is lending manageable amounts of money on transparent weekly repayment plans. They are proud of their UK wide service and put their customers at the heart of everything they do.

They have an exciting future ahead - they’re looking for like-minded professionals to join them on that journey. They have over 500 employees across the UK and despite continuing to grow they manage to retain all the best bits of working for a small company, meaning you will have the opportunity to stand out.
